Kids now have smartphones. These devices let people manage finances, save contacts, communicate with family and friends, take pictures and videos, and more. Many individuals prefer to restrict some apps because their phones store sensitive data.
Sometimes you have to give someone your phone for work or other reasons, and you worry they might see your personal info, images, or chats. We’ve taken care of that. This tutorial shows how to lock Android apps and hide photos and WhatsApp messages.

Android app lock.
Smartphones will need a third-party app. We recommend one app for locking Android apps after using several. Setup takes only a minute.
- Install AppLock from Play Store.
- Step 2: It will request basic phone permissions.
- Step 3: Tap “+” and select the app to lock.
- Step 4: press “+” after selecting the apps to lock. The restricted apps are ready.
Is AppLock accessible?
No. AppLock can be locked using a fingerprint. Simply tap “Password Settings” in the app’s Settings. Just enable “Use Fingerprint.” Face unlock, patterns, and other security options are available.
AppLock: paid or buggy?
It’s free and doesn’t have adverts or other features. I may have denied this app notification access. The program is not buggy and has few advertising. When tapped, it locks the app with a fingerprint.
How to hide phone photos/videos
Most smartphone Gallery apps allow hiding photographs and videos. Just dig deeper into the Gallery app’s settings. After selecting photos or videos in the Gallery app, Samsung users can “Move to secure folder” in settings.

If their phone doesn’t have the “hide” photo option, they can download a third-party app.
Hide WhatsApp chats?
WhatsApp has a fingerprint lock and a temporary chat conceal feature. Long-pressing a chat and tapping the arrow box icon mutes and archives it. WhatsApp’s Settings > Privacy > Fingerprint Lock displays the feature. Tap Fingerprint to enable.
