As part of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the popular tactical turn-based strategy series Nobunaga’s Ambition, Koei Tecmo America has revealed that there will be a new console game released in the west at some point in the near future.
Finally, a Western sequel to “Nobunaga’s Ambition” is arriving on Switch.
On July 20th, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening will be available for purchase on the Switch eShop. We weren’t sure whether we’d ever see this entry, which is the 16th title in the series, on our shores because it was formerly known as Nobunaga’s Ambition: Rebirth when it was released in Japan on the Switch in July 2022. At the time, the game was also known as Nobunaga’s Ambition. But it turns out that we were mistaken, and now we are prepared to get our soldiers together and rejoice.
In this role-playing experience, which is set in Japan during the Warring States Period in the 16th century, you will play the role of a daimyo of a prominent clan. You are going to have to do all in your power to stay alive, ensure that your people are content, and appoint other leaders to assist in maintaining your authority.
In honor of the significant achievement reached by the series, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening will also include a horde of new content additions. It is expected that past games’ scenarios, as well as music, events, policies, and other elements, will be included in this one. This marks the beginning of the series’ revival on consoles in the western hemisphere, and we couldn’t be happier to see it find its way to territories outside our own.
