The caretaker minister for health in the state of Punjab, Dr. Javaid Akram, has stated that the implementation of contemporary technology in the field of medicine is an absolute necessity, and an online treatment center is now being established in the provincial capital.
On Thursday, he made these remarks while addressing the inauguration ceremony of new virtual hospital technology at the annual conference of The Health Bank (THB) Global held at the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine. He was speaking at the Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine. According to him, THB Global had a positive impact on the country’s health sector, and the development projects that were launched for that area are worthy of praise. The Minister of Health for the Indian state of Punjab stated that one of the development projects that THB Global had announced for both the country and the region was the creation of a contemporary virtual hospital. This hospital would offer its patients individualized medical care both at their homes and online. Zarmina Jafar, the chief executive officer of THB Global, stated in her presentation that following Singapore, Dubai, Karachi, and Kuwait City, the THB Global’s offices in Lahore were committed to supporting individuals in their homes. This was the latest location for THB Global to open. She stated that individuals did not have enough time to repeatedly travel to the hospital, and that our virtual hospital would give them with a variety of online treatment services, as well as our physicians going to their homes for check-ups. In his address, the Chief Medical Technology Innovation Officer, Dr. Sohail Chughtai, stated that a path forward had been found for the treatment of diseases, and that memorandums of understanding (MoUs) had been signed with a number of institutions, including Saleem Memorial Hospital and Fatima Jinnah Medical University Lahore. Karachi Hospital, the Pakistan Academy of Family Doctors, the Health Science Academy, the Academy of Family Physicians Pakistan, and other more institutes are all part of Enterprises Karachi Hospital. During their lectures at the conference, a number of speakers, including Professor Dr. Bilal Ahmed, Professor Dr. Soumya Iqtidar, and Professor Dr. FarÂhan Isa Abdullah, briefed attendees about the availability of online therapy.
